December has me like:
Ordering a 16 piece resistance band set to have an easily accessible at home system. I've committed to 30 days of training- Day 6 of 30 being today. I've found the at home resistance band easy in the fact that I literally can roll out of bed, stretch and get right to it. As we know, I am REALLY working to find the right system that I will work consistently.
I did realize the other day however, that I am only 15 pounds from my pre pregnancy weight. It's important to note that ( I do realize) just because the weight is the same, my body composition IS different from that pre pregnancy body, honey! But for me, to get to that number, will play a big for my mental. It's strange knowing that- wanting that because I'm not one to get wrapped into the numbers, but I'm sure it's because I'm still figuring out my schedule with daily physical activity.

So there's this small 'mountain' next to my house that my husband and I have been eyeballing its trail to the top lately. We call it our "Brocken Skull Ranch" hill as it's steep, but not as steep as the hill on that show, I'll be honest!
I went for a run today, as hubs and baby girl took a nap (the cutest daddy-daughter nap together oh-mi-gosh!) with my couch to 5K app. About 10 minutes into it, focused I was on getting up this hill, I came up on the top of the hill leading down to the first major street by my house, I look up and see a freaking coyote running across the street! *uh, not today Satan!* So I about-faced right around and went right back the way I came from. At this point I was only about 12 minutes into a 41 minute run, so I ran a few sprints as I heading back towards the direction of my house. I ran a few more intervals and was heading home, about 1/2 way down the hill leading into my neighborhood, when I turned around to see a lad climbing the trail hubs and I have been talking about these past few weeks. I decided today's the day to do it and I turned around and went across the street to BSR!
The run up was a bit taxing on the glutes, legs and lungs. I thought about stopping mid way and going back down, but honestly I had done so much harder before that I knew I would be so disappointed in myself, so up I went!
It was a great little run up and I was for sure slow on the way down. It was fun and I will definitely be doing that again!
Merry Fitmas!
